Dwayne Johnson rooting for Brendan Fraser's success as he makes Hollywood comeback

Following his comeback with The Whale, Brendan Fraser's The Mummy Returns co-star Dwayne Johnson is hoping for the best for him.

In the most recent movie from Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, The Mummy star has made a reappearance.

whereby Sadie Sink portrays his daughter and he plays a morbidly obese dad who struggles to get along with her.

Fraser was visibly moved during the drama's six-minute standing ovation during its Venice Film Festival debut on Sunday night.

Johnson, who made his film debut with Fraser in The Mummy Returns, tweeted a video of the standing ovation and expressed his happiness at his co-return star's to the screen.

He wrote, "Man, I'm so glad to see this lovely ovation for Brendan.

Johnson co-starred with the actor in The Mummy Returns in 2001, and in 2002, he received his own spin-off, The Scorpion King.
